Dynamic, transformative change is happening in and to the voluntary and community sector. The ability to anticipate, adapt and thrive is crucial to continue supporting and enabling positive outcomes for individuals, families and communities. This one day event seeks to bring together practitioners, managers and leaders from across the network to
- Consider the opportunities that change creates
- Share best practice for sustaining excellence in the sector
- Create an understanding of what “success” for the sector looks like
A cross sector panel will open the day discussing what success in the sector might look like and share their ideas of how we can sustain a first class voluntary and community sector.
Using innovative conference formatting, the day’s agenda will be given to delegates to decide and drive. You will form small working groups around focused topics of discussion chosen by and of particular interest to you, within the overall theme of “Sustaining excellence for the Voluntary and Community Sector in Cumbria & North Lancashire”.
The day has been mostly funded by the FCSCT as part of their Aspiring Leaders Programme. An innovative Community Leadership Programme delivered in partnership by The Brathay Trust, University of Cumbria and Common Purpose.
Individuals and organisations directly involved with the programme will have a funded place.
Colleagues from across the sector and those with an interest in community development within the statutory and private sectors are also warmly invited to attend at a nominal cost of £10.
