Vice Chancellor's Welcome

Your college or institution will always be your first point of contact if you need any help or support during your studies.

As a student of the University of Cumbria there are some things we need you to do:

Access and Update the Student Hub

The University of Cumbria communicates with students via email and the student portal, ICON (Information for Cumbria ONline).

Your student hub has information about registration, updating your details and data protection. You can also view your current course enrolment status details and you will receive your module results once these have been confirmed at a University Assessment Board.

It is vital you keep your contact details up to date; you can view and amend your student record through ICON, online, 24 hours a day.

Programme Handbook

The Programme Handbook, provided by your college/institution and accessible via Blackboard, contains detailed information about your course including the course structure, teaching and learning methods used, academic regulations and assessment methods used for the course. The handbook also provides contact details for the Course or Programme Leaders.

The programme handbook provides detailed information about where you can get support and assistance during your studies if you need it.
