As a community of over 51,000 University of Cumbria (and legacy institution) graduates worldwide we ask you to come together to offer support to the newest members of our community, our class of 2020.

How to make your video
Your video only needs to be 2 minutes long, answering the following questions in a quickfire style:

Expert video tips
Here's some top tips to get the best possible video from Yann, our University of Cumbria Videographer:
- Use a tripod or find a flat and stable surface that is level with your head.
- Don’t use the digital zoom (instead move the phone closer or further away).
- Your footage will look best when you shoot with lots of light (try using window light for a flattering effect).
- Use exposure lock (on the iPhone this is when you press and hold until a yellow square appears and allows you to lock the exposure).
- Use a lapel microphone to record better audio of your voice. If no external microphone is available stay close to the phone while filming so its internal microphone can pick up your voice more clearly.
- Place yourself in the centre of the frame and leave space between the top of your head and the top of the frame.
- Shoot your video in 4K (3840px x 2160px) for the best quality footage.
- Fully charge your phone before recording any lengthy videos.
- Shoot horizontal / landscape mode.
- Put your phone in airplane mode when filming (this helps with battery life and prevents unwanted distractions).
