Give As You Earn (GAYE)

Payroll giving is a tax effective way for employees of the University of Cumbria to give to the Bright Futures Fund. Donations are deducted from your pre-tax or gross salary, reducing the total amount of income tax that you will need to pay. With GAYE, the University receives your net gift plus the tax you would have paid on it. For 20% taxpayers, this means your gift is worth 25% more than it cost you. For higher rate taxpayers, your gift can increase in value by as much as 81%.

Giving to the Bright Futures Fund is easy, simply decide the amount you want to give monthly, complete the payroll giving form and submit to the payroll team in Human Resources. The University of Cumbria’s Charities Aid Commission (CAF) Reference is 51000468899.
