About Our Trust
Blackpool Teaching School Alliance | University of Cumbria
The Blackpool Teaching School Alliance in Partnership with the Blackpool Multi-Academy Trust are leading the way for school-led teacher training in Blackpool. Inclusive school based training via our School Direct Programme means we can develop the outstanding teachers of the future to ensure the very best outcomes for children in Blackpool schools.
Blackpool Teaching School Alliance was founded by a group of schools in Blackpool to support Blackpool schools to be the best that we can be, to learn from each other and share best practice. The Teaching School is founded on a belief that high quality teaching and learning can overcome disadvantage and promote high standards in even the most challenging of schools. The Teaching School has been developed to promote high standards in all schools whether they be Primary, Secondary or Special Schools.
Blackpool Multi Academy Trust is a partnership between three large urban primary schools (Anchorsholme Academy, Devonshire Primary Academy and Revoe Learning Academy) and Park Community Academy which is an all age (2-19) outstanding special school for children and young people with complex learning difficulties.
Why train with us and what are we looking for?
Blackpool is a special yet challenging place to teach. Our vision is to train the next generation of outstanding Blackpool teachers to give the children of Blackpool the best possible start in life. Our training is delivered in partnership with the University of Cumbria.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for teaching, someone who enjoys a challenge and who puts children and their needs first. We are recruiting now to start training from September 2018 until July 2019, and we would be very interested to hear from you if you are thinking of becoming a teacher, or know someone who is.
