WHY STUDY WITH US
Castle Hill School is an Outstanding Special School working with pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. We are working in Partnership with Ravenshall School, Southgate School, Fairfield School, and Milton School in order to provide a variety of teaching opportunities and experience of working with pupils with SEND.
You will have the opportunity to work with a range of specialist professionals to develop expertise in various aspects of complex learning and medical needs.
Our placement schools provide trainees to teach learners with varying needs including Profound Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Multi Sensory Impairments (MSI), Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Our programme will provide you with the necessary skills to identify and support learners with SEND both in mainstream and Special School provisions.
The University of Warwick provides accreditation for the QTS element of these University of Cumbria programmes.
