Medical Clearance

If a medical check is a condition of your offer, you must complete a health assessment and, where required, vaccinations before you can be considered a fully registered student and begin your placement. These checks are carried out by our appointed Occupational Health provider, Latus Group.

Why This Matters

If your medical check is delayed:

You can still register, but admissions conditions will remain outstanding.
Your student loan cannot be released.
You will be unable to start your placement.

We will contact you around three months before your course starts to begin your medical clearance process.

Important: If you do not complete this check, you will not meet the entry requirements for your course and will be unable to attend placement. You may object to your records being shared with Latus Group, but doing so means we must withdraw your application.

How Your Data Is Used

To allow Latus Group to carry out your medical check, we will share the following information with them:

Student number
Name
Course
Date of birth
Email address
Telephone number (home and mobile)

Latus Group protects all personal data in line with Data Protection Laws and GDPR. Their privacy notice explains how your information is stored and processed.

What You Need to Do

Complete your Medical Questionnaire

Complete vaccinations (Pre‑Registration Health Courses only)

If you have already received the required vaccinations, you must provide evidence to Latus Group.

Once your course begins, you must attend scheduled vaccination clinics. It can take several months to confirm immunity levels, so it is important to attend every appointment.

Important: Even if you provide full vaccination evidence, you must attend a Welcome Week vaccination clinic for blood tests to confirm immunity.
