The AHP-RIG will be launching in the New Year, with the aim of to bringing together like-minded researchers at UoC and in the NW/NE regional NHS, with any levels of research experience, and with a view to expanding research networks and opportunities for all. Firstly, the group’s activities will involve a series of AHP Research Forums, which are online workshop/networking events each augmented by a short presentation and Q&A around a pertinent topic, delivered by an experienced IoH researcher. The events in Spring/Summer 2025 are as below. These can be joined on-the-day via the links provided.

Secondly, these workshops will be supported by a series of online ‘Open Research Surgeries’, taking place about once per fortnight, available (again) to both UoC and regional NHS staff. In these, one of our senior researchers will make themselves available to provide research advice and support to anyone who needs it. A roster of these surgeries will be publicised early next semester.
If you have any queries about the AHP Research Forums, please contact Sarah Smith at UoC, or Dawn Lamb at NCIC, for further information. If you have any queries about the Research Surgeries, or the wider AHP-RIG itself, then please contact Dr Paul K. Miller or Dr Ross Armstrong at UoC.
Please share this invite with colleagues or contacts that may wish to join!
