If you have already applied and have been offered a place at the University of Cumbria please wait until your Offer Holder Day invite is sent and attend that event instead. You will have the opportunity to have a one-to-one chat with our academic and support staff who will help guide and support you every step of the way.

As the only university campus in the UK located in a UNESCO World Heritage site, we offer a unique experience showcasing our outdoor facilities, historic buildings, and connection to the Lakes.

Our compact and friendly campus is just a short walk away from Ambleside town centre and a short bus ride away from iconic towns like Grasmere, Keswick and Windermere. Ambleside is one of the most visited places in the Lake District and is home to restaurants, bars and art house cinemas. It is a bustling and friendly community that supports the University of Cumbria and embraces all that students bring to the local area: from part-time work to being a member of the local football team. The courses at Ambleside all work in harmony with the local area, providing a living breathing classroom on your doorstep.
