This Open Evening is suitable for people who have yet to apply to the University of Cumbria and are looking for a September 2025 start date. If you have already applied and have been offered a place at the University of Cumbria please wait until your Offer Holder Day invite is sent and attend that event instead. However, for those applying later in the application process come along and explore our Education & Teaching courses at our London campus.

If you are still undecided nothing will help you make your mind up more than attending an Open Evening and experiencing first-hand what we offer.
This Open Evening is where you can get a real flavour of the course and see how passionate and enthusiastic our tutors are about their specialist subjects. Our academics will be on hand after these sessions to answer any questions you may have about your course of interest.
You will also meet current students to learn about life at the London campus, located near Canary Wharf and things to do in the local area.

Event Information
The University of Cumbria has roots in teaching extending back to 1894, when Charlotte Mason established a teacher training college at what is now our Ambleside campus. She was an educational pioneer penning many books on the subject and promoting a more humanistic approach to teaching. She aimed to encourage educators and students to develop a ‘love of learning’.
With the academic expertise we have gained in this sector, we now offer courses in Education and Teaching at our London, Lancaster and Carlisle campuses.
