From Photography and Fine Art to Games Design and Creative Advertising, our facilities at Brampton Road are incredible spaces. The workshops, studios, media suites, and design labs are open to all students regardless of their course.
The Works
Situated in the Main Building, The Works café is a welcoming social area and the perfect place to catch up with friends after a day in the workshop or studio.
Vallum Gallery
Our on-campus Vallum Gallery hosts a number of student-led and external exhibitions each year. If you’re studying one of our Creative and Media Arts courses, your work will be displayed here as part of your third-year Degree Show.
Brampton Road Halls
Our Brampton Road Halls of Residence boast over 100 bedrooms and are just a two-minute walk away from the main areas of campus. You’ll be surrounded by lush green lawns all year round, with the Halls just a five-minute walk from Rickerby Park and the River Eden.
Library
Supporting your learning with access to thousands of books, journals, and electronic resource collections, the Brampton Road Library specialises in resources for the arts and offers a range of services and support to enhance your academic skills.
MEDIA SUITE, TV STUDIO AND AV DEPARTMENT
Our Wildlife Media and Film and TV students have access to the Media Suite, TV Studio, and our AV (Audio Visual) Department. Students can book and use everything, from the studios to high-quality cameras, drones to lights, and microphones.
FINE ART STUDIOS & WORKSHOPS
Alongside a live drawing studio and an array of workshops, our fine art students enjoy access to a dedicated studio where each student is allocated their own workspace. Bright and open plan, this space works as a blank canvas for our artists and it is set up so that their creativity may run free.
