Teenagers' and Young Adults' Experiences of UK Protected Landscapes

Teenagers' and Young Adults' Experiences of UK Protected Landscapes

A review of research literature exploring teenagers’ and young adults’ experiences in relation to the UK’s protected landscapes is now available via our Insight research repository.

This work was commissioned by Campaign for National Parks, the independent charity dedicated to securing the future of National Parks in England and Wales, alongside Centre for National Parks & Protected Areas (CNPPA) at the University of Cumbria. The review was completed by Tania Lemmey, CNPPA Senior Development Officer with a foreword by Dr Rose O'Neill, Chief Executive of Campaign for National Parks and Professor Julia Aglionby, Professor of Practice at University of Cumbria.

The review contains information relevant to practice for organisations engaging with young adults and teenagers in relation to National Parks and National Landscapes across the UK and identifies some gaps in the literature where new research may be beneficial.
