Digital innovation for a deeper understanding of visitor behaviour

Delia Moisa, Doctoral Researcher

Doctoral candidate, Delia Moisa, was awarded the Best Presentation at the ICISSS 2024: XVIII. International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Science Studies, Belgrade, Serbia, May 20-21, 2024. Delia presented her current research from Cumbria, which involves integrating personality traits and travel motivations to develop enhanced digital strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism sector.

Delia's research aim is to develop a digital platform abling the use of sector-based algorithms to allow tourim businesses to more accurately study, profile and predict customer behaviour. Delia's study augments broad person-based demographics (gender, age, etc) by using the concept of personality trait. This can inform personalisation which interprets human drives and correlates tourism products and services with personality traits.
