Lancaster Sports Complex Facilities
We have a wide range of facilities available for University Staff, Students and the wider community.
Working in partnership with Salt Ayre, Better Leisure and BUCs UNIversal Gyms.
Student and Staff Memberships
Our Active+ and Active Premium Memberships provide unlimited access to our on campus Fitness Rooms. Premium Members get additional access to Fitness Classes, Squash, Sports Hall use and access to the facilities at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre in Lancaster (UoC Staff/Students ONLY). This includes Gym, Swim and Fitness Classes.
All Student and Staff Memberships expire on the 31st August 2025.

University Staff who wish to pay per month via salary wage deduction, please fill in the Staff Membership Form.
Public Memberships
Our Public Membership package gives you access to our Fitness Rooms, equipped with Primal Strength Weights, Resistance Machines and Cardiovascular Machines. Memberships (except our Casual Membership) also include free Fitness Classes, Squash, Badminton, and Basketball.

Sports Hall
Our large multi-purpose Sports Hall is suitable for a variety of Sports, including Football, Badminton, Pickleball, Basketball, Netball and Fitness Classes. It also features a Gymnastics area that is regularly used by our partner City of Lancaster Gymnastics Club.

Outdoor Pitches
Grass Pitches
We have one 9-aside and one 11-aside grass pitch located on campus.
Both pitches are currently fully booked, but you can be added to the waiting list by filling in a Booking Request Form.
Astroturf Pitch
Our sand dressed and floodlit pitch is available for the community and students to hire.
If you are interested in making an enquiry, please fill in a Booking Request Form or email lancastersportscomplex@cumbria.ac.uk.
ADHOC Bookings
For one off bookings you can call the Sports Complex on 01228 888668.
Bookings can be made up to a week in advance.
Accessibility
The entrance to the Sports Complex is on the ground floor with automatic doors.
A lift to the first floor of the building is available to get to Staff offices and Students' labs.
Showers and Changing Rooms
Accessible changing rooms and toilets are available.

Monday - Friday : 8:00am - 10:00pm
Saturday : 9:00am - 7:00pm
Sunday : 10:00am - 6:00pm

Monday: Cardio & Core 12:30 - 13:15 at the Sports Complex (with Jayne)
Tuesday: Bootcamp 12:15 - 13:00 at the Sports Complex (with Jayne)
Tuesday: Stretch n' Flow 17:15 - 18:00 in Fieldhead Room 2 (with Jayne)
Wednesday: Pilates 12:30 - 13:15 in Fieldhead Room 2 (with Kim)
Thursday: Pilates 17:15 - 18:00 in Fieldhead Room 2 (with Savannah)
Friday: Yoga 18:00 - 19:30 in Fieldhead Room 2 (with Tony)
