Brampton Road guided tour

Our Brampton Road Campus in Carlisle is home to our Institute of Arts - a community of hundreds of creatives, including lecturers, students and technicians.

Offering a friendly atmosphere and creative environment this is the perfect place for you to refine your craft, explore your creativity, build on your creative skills, and learn from a team of expert lecturers, many of which are commercial artists themselves.

On-campus, you'll find our Stanwix Theatre and Vallum Gallery, which are open to the public and together host around 100 performances and exhibitions a year by our students and lecturers as well as external touring companies and artists.

To ensure that you have all the equipment you need to hone your craft, our Brampton Road campus also boasts art-specific facilities such as our photography darkroom, studios and editing suite; dance and rehearsing studios; an illustration and graphic design studio; game design suites; a TV studio and a fully kitted AV department from where our students can borrow filming and photography equipment. We are also home to a large fine art studio, an art supply shop as well as a fully equipped workshop space including woodwork, ceramic and costume areas. Be inspired.
