Our Brampton Road Campus in Carlisle is home to our Institute of Arts - a community of hundreds of creatives, including lecturers, students and technicians.

Offering a friendly atmosphere and creative environment this is the perfect place for you to refine your craft, explore your creativity, build on your creative skills, and learn from a team of expert lecturers, many of which are commercial artists themselves.

On-campus, you'll find our Stanwix Theatre and Vallum Gallery, which are open to the public and together host around 100 performances and exhibitions a year by our students and lecturers as well as external touring companies and artists.

To ensure that you have all the equipment you need to hone your craft, our Brampton Road campus also boasts art-specific facilities such as our photography darkroom, studios and editing suite; dance and rehearsing studios; an illustration and graphic design studio; game design suites; a TV studio and a fully kitted AV department from where our students can borrow filming and photography equipment. We are also home to a large fine art studio, an art supply shop as well as a fully equipped workshop space including woodwork, ceramic and costume areas. Be inspired.

Our Lancaster campus is home to a wide variety of different courses. Offering a friendly atmosphere and expert facilities from our sports complex to the student's unions to a library with space for students to focus. Our Lancaster campus also offers spaces for students to relax and socialise whether it's a coffee at Café Martineau or Lunch at The View.

Set in beautiful parkland but only a 15 minute walk away from Lancaster city centre you can enjoy the campus atmosphere whilst having access to the vibrant and historic city of Lancaster.

Our unique Ambleside campus is the only UK university-based within a National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. With exceptional facilities and unrivalled access to The Lake District, this campus will provide an unforgettable and unique student experience. A 10-minute walk to the centre of Ambleside and plenty to do in the surrounding area Ambleside is the perfect place to study and explore. 

Our Carlisle Fusehill Street Campus is home to a wide variety of different courses. You'll find a bustling environment for students offering multiple spaces to use for socialising and meeting with friends. Fusehill offers a library containing a large collection of resources for Health, Education, Law and Social Sciences.
