Tell us a little about yourself.
I started work as the Programme Lead for Graphic Design at the University of Cumbria in 2022. Prior to this I had worked as a Creative Design and Art Director for 20+ years with many internationally acclaimed graphic design studios.
Let us know more about your industry/practice background.
I have successfully managed projects involving corporate branding, digital media, video, packaging, exhibition design, and literature from proposal to delivery across the world including the USA and Australia. I also spent many years as an Associate Lecturer up and down the UK’s various universities before working at the University of Cumbria.
What research area do you specialise in?
I am currently researching the impact design has and will have in the healthcare sector with the development of A.I and the many innovations taking place for smart devices to help with patient care and recovery.
What modules do you teach and what is your favourite part of these?
I teach across all the modules here at the University of Cumbria, which involve corporate branding, digital media, video, packaging, exhibition design, and literature. My favourite part is usually branding with a leaning to typography.
