The BSc Occupational Therapy (OT) course has been an enlightening experience. I have made some wonderful ,life-long friends and gained a fountain of knowledge along the way.

The course has highlighted how important the role of an occupational therapist is and widened my understanding on the importance of theory and evidence within practice.

There is an array of opportunities within the university to develop on both a personal and professional level. For example, being a student representative allowed me to develop my leadership and communication skills, both of which play important roles in the occupational therapy profession.

The university itself is filled with history and beauty, something I appreciated daily as the seasons changed throughout the year. The teaching staff all have a vast amount of experience which they bring into the lessons, helping you to gain an understanding of the role from first-hand experiences.

I have loved my time at the university of Cumbria and would recommend the course to anyone who is seeking to make a positive difference to people, on a professional level.
