Biography
In 2019 I qualified from University of Hertfordshire with a BSc in Paramedic Science. I then started my role as a frontline Paramedic with the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST). During my time in this role, I qualified as a Practice Educator which allowed me to teach students operationally. I was fortunate enough to teach a variety of students during this time varying from undergraduate BSc students to apprenticeship students.
In July 2023, I was successful in achieving a role within the training and education department as a Lecturer Practitioner for EEAST. Within this role, we taught various skill sets from completely new starters to those advancing through their career and developing their clinical skills within EEAST. During my time as a Lecturer Practitioner, I worked towards and was awarded my certificate in assessing vocational achievement (CAVA). Since achieving this, I have started on my journey towards gaining a PGCert in Medical and Healthcare Education which I hope to complete this year.
In February 2024, I was then successful in achieving a secondment role with University of Cumbria as a Clinical Lecturer in which I will be supporting students through their paramedic apprenticeship.
