Biography

A former student of the University of Cumbria, Callum studied Woodland Ecology and Conservation, graduating in 2020.
His love for woodland management took him to the Scottish Highlands, restoring Caledonian pine forest with Scottish Natural Heritage, now Nature.Scot.
He then moved to the North-East of England with Durham Wildlife Trust, working on a range of different habitats in frontline conservation, including unique magnesian limestone grasslands, and geologically significant forested Denes.
Callum’s career later took him to the Civil Service as a Plant Health and Seed Inspector, where he managed an extensive range of clients across the forestry, horticultural, and agricultural industries.
As a specialist in biosecurity, Callum has encountered some of the biggest threats to UK plant and forest health.
