Biography

Dr Daniela Campaniolo is an experienced and passionate higher education educator. As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) she teaches a number of modules in marketing and strategy at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her courses cover topics such as digital marketing, innovation, business simulation, omnichannel retailing and dynamic strategies.

She earned her PhD from the University of Manchester, focusing on value creation for female fashion consumers s through the use of technology. She has previously covered roles as a Senior Marketing Manager in different industries. She supervises a number of PhD researchers in the areas of marketing and retailing. She accepts supervision of new PG students, and she is keen to research collaborations.

Academic and research interests

Dr Daniela Campaniolo research interests span consumer behaviour, retail strategies, and digital technologies. Her research also delves into how technological innovations can be leveraged to support initiatives that promote both social and environmental sustainability. This includes exploring ways to use technology to address pressing global challenges, such as employing AI and metaverse technologies to create inclusive shopping experiences, enhance supply chain efficiency, and ensure ethical sourcing through blockchain. Additionally, the use of VR and AR for accessible shopping. Her research methods specialisms include body scanning technology and qualitative research methods.
