Gail Blackburn

Biography

I have over twenty years of primary teaching. This includes teaching in KS1, KS2 and EYFS I was a leading maths teacher for Blackburn with Darwen. During this time, I held (acting) Deputy Head and Assistant Head Teacher roles. Whilst in these roles I was part of the team who were successful in moving our school from Requires improvement to Outstanding.

I was a SENDco for 15 years My roles within the University  University Partnership Tutor working with the Blackburn and Blackpool clusters.  Personal Tutor and teaching on the PGCE (QTS) course Personal Tutor for the current first-year cohort on the Q4 course. Qualifications BSc (Hons) Mathematics with QTS PgCert Learning and Teaching in Higher Education Fellow, Higher Education Academy.
