Sarah Swindley

Biography

Sarah is currently CEO of the Lake District Foundation and has had more than 20 years of experience in a number of leadership roles in the Third Sector. She has worked across Health, Social Care, Criminal Justice and Education regionally and nationally. She is a board member of Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership and a strong advocate for inclusive, green growth in our county. 

‘I am so pleased to be appointed a non executive director of the University of Cumbria. I am joining at a key time for our young people, our environment and our economy. A strong, locally based but internationally facing University in our County is vital to the dynamic future that I know Cumbria has before it and I look forward to playing my part in this.’
