Rebecca Johnston

Biography

Rebecca has significant policing experience after serving 13 years as a Police Constable with British Transport Police. During this policing career Rebecca has undertaken a variety of different operational policing roles. Rebecca specialised in the policing of large events on national infrastructure, the investigation of sexual offences, football policing and volume crime investigations. Rebecca has also taken part in significant amounts of County Lines policing operations. 

Rebecca regularly visited the University of Cumbria during this policing career and provided guest lecture sessions to a variety of courses for a number of years prior to being appointed as Lecturer on the Security, Intelligence and Investigative Practice course in 2023. 

Rebecca is passionate about providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to apply to their potential future places of work with the use of interactive learning.
