Biography

I joined the East of England Ambulance Service in 2010.  I initially started as an Emergency Care Assistant, before gaining a place as a Student Paramedic in 2014.  Over the next couple of years, I gained my DipHE in Paramedic Science and registered as a Paramedic.  I then gained my BSc (Hons) in Acute Care from Anglia Ruskin University whilst also studying with The Open University and completed my BSc Open (Hons) Degree from them 2023.

Whilst working as a Paramedic, I undertook a Practice Educator qualification to help with my role as mentor and Practice Educator to students on placement whilst working frontline.  I have delivered mandatory training and clinical updates to colleagues and staff of all grades.

I undertook a secondment as a Hospital Ambulance Liaison Officer (HALO) for 5 months, which gave me an insight into the deeper working of the Ambulance Service and the local hospital.

I am also a Resuscitation Council and Qualsafe instructor.
