Biography
Stephen is a chartered scientific & management professional who has gained a wide ranging appreciation of regulatory requirements, stakeholder engagement, and commercial constraints in a world where environmental excellence is increasingly important to successful project delivery. With over 25 years combined high hazard industry and regulatory experience, he brings operational, tactical and strategic experience to individuals and organisations.
His approach to work involves creation of space for real dialogue to allow trust to develop in the teams he leads and the students he supports. This approach has resulted in numerous commendations.
As Senior Engineering Lecturer, Stephen drives the establishment of our new academic area to meet the needs of the dynamic engineering sector, regionally and nationally. This involves determining the scope and direction of our Engineering offer to develop distinctly different engineering programmes, aiming to create contemporary, innovative and flexible engineers.
