Toby Best

Biography

Toby Best provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources within the Institute of Health. This includes:

• Institute Planning - Inform Institute strategy and co-ordinate Institute planning.
• Institute Projects - Project planning, ensuring effective cross University communication and engagement.
• Management Information - Develop and present management information on Institute activities.
• Finance & Resources - Provide financial management – budget setting, monitoring and forecasting and financial controls. Maintain overview of Institute staffing resources.
• Externally Funded Projects - Co-ordination of bids, contracting, project support and controls.
• External Engagement - Support partner engagement to deliver strategic objectives and growth.
• Leadership and Management - Business and Operations team including Executive Support.

Prior to his appointment to his current role, Toby has held several roles within the University and has experience of all aspects of University Administration. Previously he worked at the University of the Creative Arts and its predecessor institutions.
