Biography
Tony Peart is an Associate Senior Lecturer at the University of Cumbria Institute of the Arts. His primary role is as a Year 1 tutor for BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Illustation, ensuring our level 4 students have a thorough grounding and in-depth knowledge of both subjects. He also visits many schools and colleges throughout the north giving presentations about the wonderful art, design and media courses offered by the institute.
He has frequently exhibited his work both nationally and internationally and his painting and drawings are held in many public and private collections, you can see some of them here.
Tony has been a passionate collector of nineteenth century decorative arts for over thirty years and has published many papers on aspects of the Arts and Crafts Movement, in particular the work of the architect and designer CFA Voysey (1857 - 1941). He is a committee member of the CFA Voysey Society and sits on their editorial board.
