In order to be responsive to the dynamic nature of emergency care practice you will:
Develop knowledge and critical understanding of theories and frameworks of decision-making that will support clinical practice including reflection on the use of problem-solving strategies.
Enhance your knowledge and skills in the management of uncertainty and the application of reasoning in the assessment and management of care.
Critically evaluate ways in which evidenced-based practice will support clinical decision-making.
Critically analyse how learning from this module has transformed your understanding.
Having completed this module you may wish to bring these credits into the BSc (Hons) Paramedic: Practice Development or BSc (Hons) Practice Development top-up programme. Please discuss this opportunity with the module leader before completion of the module.

To be eligible to study this module, you must be working in an appropriate healthcare environment, demonstrate the ability to study at level 6 and commit to attempting the assessment. Prior to studying this module, you must normally have studied pre-requisite module HCPD6050 Consultation Physical Examination Skills: Health Assessment or an equivalent assessment and physical examination skills module.
