• Palliative and end-of-life care fundamentals: Explore the core concepts and principles of palliative and end-of-life care, with a focus on the vital roles played by health and social care professionals.
• Holistic assessment and frameworks: Analyse comprehensive local and national assessment tools and frameworks designed to guide effective practice in palliative and end-of-life care.
• Pain and symptom management: Deepen your understanding of pain and symptom management approaches in order to assess, attempt to treat and to recognise where onward referral to other specialities is required.
• Psychosocial and spiritual dimensions: Explore the psychosocial and spiritual aspects of care management, recognising the importance of making reasonable adjustments to meet individual care needs.
• Therapeutic communication and ethics: Enhance your therapeutic communication skills and explore the philosophical, legal, and ethical considerations that arise in palliative and end-of-life care.
