Module - Respiratory Health Assessment Level 6
This Degree level module is part of the Institute of Health's Practice Development Framework. As a registered nurse or allied health professional and as part of your continuing professional development, the module will develop your ability to assess, recognise and manage the healthcare needs of patients presenting with respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD.
Course Overview
Exploration of the respiratory system and pathophysiology. Diagnosis, assessment and management of respiratory conditions. You will be given the choice to focus on one or more of the following conditions.
mesothelioma, pulmonary emboli, pleural effusions, pneumothorax, bronchiectasis, bronchiolitis, asbestosis, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, fibrosing alveolitis, respiratory failure, asthma, COPD. Covid related conditions: acute respiratory distress syndrome, pneumonia and pulmonary fibrosis.
