Integrated Foundation Year:
High School Diploma (see province requirements below):
Alberta, British Colombia, Newfoundland and Labrador, North West Territories, Nunavut, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, Yukon Territory:
- High School Diploma/Certificate of Achievement/Certificate of graduation/Dogwood Diploma with 50% average across 5 grade 12 subjects.
Manitoba:
- High School Diploma with 50% average across 5 credits (some classes may be worth 1 credit or 0.5 credits) at Level 40 or higher (or AP/IB class).
New Brunswick:
- High School Diploma with 50% or 60% across 5 grade 12 subjects
Ontario:
- High School Diploma/Graduation Certificate with 50% average across 6 grade 12 subjects, at least four of which should be University Preparation Courses (denoted by 4U) (or AP/IB class). The other two courses could be University/College Preparation Courses (denoted by 4U/4M/4C) (or AP/IB class).
Quebec:
- Students in government high schools in Quebec only do 11 years of High school then go on to do a Pre-university course.
- Collège d'enseignement général et professionnel (CÉGEP) takes 2 years to complete OR Diploma of College Studies (DCS)/ Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) takes 3 years to complete.
- One year of pre-university with an average of 60% OR two years of pre-university with an average of 60% in year 2 (year 1 does not need calculated).
Standard Undergraduate:
Alberta: Minimum 50% or higher in five grade 12 subjects.
British Columbia: 60%+ in five grade 12 subjects (preferably five grade Cs).
Manitoba: Five credits at 300 level and at least 56% in four subjects.
New Brunswick: 60%+ in six acceptable subjects at grade 12.
Newfoundland: 65%+ in six acceptable subjects at 3,000 level, Grade 12, or 60%+ in nine 3,000 level subjects.
North West Territories: 50%+ in five acceptable subjects at grade 12.
Nova Scotia: 60%+ in five acceptable subjects at grade 12.
Ontario: 60%+ in six 4U or4M courses (module codes on transcript will start with 4U or 4M).
Prince Edward Island: 60%+ in five acceptable subjects at grade 12.
Saskatchewan: 65%+ in five acceptable subjects at grade 12.
Yukon Territories: minimum of five Cs in acceptable subjects at grade 12.
Quebec: The Diplome d'Etudes Collgiales (DEC) awarded after two years of study at a 'college d'enseignement general et professionnel' (CEGEP) is acceptable and is marked on a percentage scale with 60% as the lowest pass mark.
Between provinces the percentage grades differ however the range is generally 80%-100%=A, 65% - 79% = B, 50% - 64% = C (except in Ontario and Manitoba where 50% - 59% = D, but this is still regarded as a pass).
Maths GCSE Grade C Equivalent:
