International pathway programmes
The University of Cumbria partners with Malvern International to offer a fully embedded on-campus International College. The programmes offered by Malvern International provide progression to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the university.

As a student at the International College, you will be taught in a supportive environment with a diverse group of students. The programmes are designed with international students in mind, and these programmes have additional language and study support built-in to help you reach your full potential.
Studying in small classes with weekly personal tutorial sessions, you will have the one-to-one help you require to learn a range of academic and language programmes.
International Foundation Programme
The International Foundation Programme is an integrated foundation and degree programme, with a Tier 4 visa that covers the full duration of your studies. This programme is designed to give you a combination of academic knowledge and language provision to get you ready for your undergraduate studies.
International Foundation programmes are available in the following subjects:
- Art, Design & Media
- Business & Management
- Computer Science
- Health and Biomedical Science
International Year One
The International Year One provides a route to Year 2 of a range of undergraduate degrees. This programme is designed to significantly improve your academic language skills, including critical thinking and academic writing, whilst allowing you the additional classroom support you need from our qualified teachers.
Postgraduate pathway programmes
If you would like to study at the postgraduate level, but you don’t meet the required academic or language level, the following Pre-Master’s programme may be perfect for you.
This programme is designed to prepare you for your studies by allowing you to practise your academic skills in a supportive environment. Though you may have experience of studying at undergraduate level in another country, the expectations of postgraduate study can be very different in the UK.
