Find your path into teaching...
I don’t have a degree
All state-maintained schools require teachers to have the award of QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Here at the University of Cumbria, you can study for a degree in Primary Education and work towards your QTS award at the same time. You will be ready to get your first teaching job with no further study required. If your degree doesn’t include QTS you will need to get certified separately, through our PGCE programme or similar. Accreditation for the award of QTS is through our accredited partner. All academic awards are made by the University of Cumbria.
