Event Overview
We see Illustration through frames: the screen of a phone; the edge of a page; the outside of a box... Composition, the art of arranging elements within a given space, is a hugely important skill that is rarely taught in degree education. Happily, at University of Cumbria Institute of Arts, we understand it's central role in producing dynamic and memorable imagery and ensure our illustration and design students are given a thorough grounding in this important, 'key' skill. This session will allow you to sample both a practical workshop and lecture and will give you an insight into the creative potential of thoughtful and dynamic composition. Armed with the information we provide, your comics, superheroes and posters will never look the same again!
